Another topic for you lot out there. I was round a friends house last nite just chilling and he put a tape on of a station called "UK Sexy" on 89.6 (which i thought was Select UK). It was some wak DJ (I wont name names but this DJ has popped up on a few other stations recently) clanging some cheesy funky haas, the mixing was very poor along with the name of the station. My friend insisted that the tape was only about 2-3 months old. Do any of you lot out there remember this station? While listening to this tape it made me remember something i heard about 5 or 6 years ago, i was flicking thru the dial & i got to 104.6 or sumfin round that area which i hadnt come across b4. I heard wot sounded like a bunch of kids just shouting down da mic and generally chatting shit with some happy hardcore playing in the background, I listened for about 10 minutes and heard an I.D for this station which was, i kid u not, "Stolen Rig FM"!! :D Unfortunatly after this amazing discovery i had to go out but when i came back in later that day the "station" was, of course, off the air and never to return (I wish i had taped it now! It was gold dust!).
Wots been the crappest name for a station (past or present) you've heard or heard of or whats been the funniest thing you've heard on a station?

i've always been baffled by 'WHOA' 90.4fm.... any clues as to what this means???

Easy Darth Wizzle, long time! You got it in one blud!! I dont think i need to say anymore about "UK Sexy" or Andy "Menu" M! The name of the station & Menu do eachover no justice! I've been baffled by Whoa FM too. Dunno what that name is all about! They do have some good hip-hop sets on that station sumtimes though, but da name is shit. Not as bad as Korrupt FM or Stolen Rig FM though!:D
I'll be tuning into ur show on Vybe on Sunday providing those Galaxy idiots dont come on and wipe you out. Something should be done about those clowns.

im lost as to why someone would ever call thy're station that? makes for hard advertising!
Yeah, i remember stolen Rig FM!! word on the street back un the day was that it was a Stolen Flex Rig!!

i think most station names in pirate world are pretty shit.

In 1994 I was flicking through the radio and heard a station calling itself Boys FM 90.8 :yell:
