its hard to decide Freeze and Vybe... but Vybes joined Mint...and I havnt locked for time... and yeh so freeze...hmmm...tuffy...

I would have gone with Kool but there brilliant signal didn't last all the way throughout the year. Freeze is easily the best signal and has some decent sets but in my opinion there are a good number of djs/mcs that dont have what it takes to be on a potentialy triple award winning station,

Either Freeze or Kool for me.

Although not being able to pick them up anymore the only london stations i can ever listen to on the radio is UK'S Finest or Shine as they get further south it seems than any one else.

Freeze stream well though never any problems and always seem to be on but just don't find a lot of there dj's entertaining so its a tough one.

unknown 90.2fm for me. Play some cracking house music, plus they have some brilliant 70's and 80's soul and funk shows! Signal has improved massively recently too!

Yeah, was a poor joke my friend.

Freeze used to be one of my presets, but I find its playing the same old music now. Every time I do tune in, its always the same "old skool garage".

I know that some of you are going to say to me now "Well I play house or Funky house" Yes I do know the timetable has different music styles. But I dont seem to tune in when these shows are on.

Plus if I did want to listen to House, I'd listen to Passion or House Fm. Freeze will always be known as a Garage station.

what makes a station " The Best" ?? as differant stations cater for differant listeners ? but Kool have to be the "Daddies" of pirate radio been listning to them for years and i know young people who listen to it now 13/15 yr olds the station is older than them ... lol :)

If you take signal & presentation into account, I dont really think you can claim True 100.2 to be the best station this year by any means - their frequency is terrible, I rarely can listen to them anywhere in town without Kiss all over them, and their signal doesn't come anywhere near the Passion/Freeze/Vibes/Kool etc - although to be fair their hosts and shows do sound good - it's just a shame that Rinse now sound so poor cos London has lost one of its most influential stations by them moving as you cant pick them up either! for me its;

House - Unknown 90.2 & Passion 91.8
R'n'B - Juice UK 102.5
UKG - Freeze 92.7
Yardie - Vibes 93.8

All of them are always on, excellent audio, London wide signals, good hosts

True are ok where i am ... ok not the best of frequancies i agree but sound good have good djs and hosts/Mcs always on and have good raves gotta give it to them ... :)

push fm-UFM and house fm are a pro outfits one of these woould get my vote,
i dont see how people can rate passion fm as a house station they just jump on the band wagon playing shate house like every other ukg station ! this time three years ago they were playing speed cabbage and 2 step! bunch of arse mate.:yell:

i rate sub jam aswell, pretty consisttant station. They play a nice lot of new skool garage too:)

Very well true, who can toss over Freeze, agreed Kool are the one rinsers for true!!

For Drum & Bass it has to be Kool - then Origin both runnin it hard with decent coverage but Kool get the most respect for being around for so dam long.

When i looked at the voting form apart from the stations no other catogery inspired me to vote for n e thing, i mean some of the nominees they had listed for best producers, new producers, best radio show & dj....
