Taken from Y2Kpirates....RIP
Y2K Pirates has closed6th June 2000 - 21st October 2005As of 21th October 2005 Y2K Pirates (UK Pirate Radio Database) is closed for good. There was no sinister or government influence that caused the closure of the site, I simply no longer have sufficient time to devote to keeping the site updated & feel i've achieved all that I could with it.
For a limited time, the Webmaster can be contacted at this e mail address: webmaster@y2kpirates.co.uk All other e mail addresses associated with Y2K Pirates have been closed.
Thank you to everyone who's visited & contributed to Y2K Pirates over the last five years. Some of you (especially in the early days of the site) helped me a lot with the site, you know who you are & have my eternal gratitude & thanks.
Great sight gone, meet many good contacts on there.

Ukpir8radio...
Tried signing up but I keep getting the following:
Failed sending email :: PHP ::
DEBUG MODE
Line : 234
File : emailer.php
I'm guessing its failing on sending me an email to activate my account because i haven't had one yet and I can't login until I do..
Thank you to everyone who's had something nice to say about y2k pirates & I wish those of you who are continuing to host pirate radio related websites the best of luck.
I've updated the y2k pirates front page to include some FAQ's that i've received in my mail box this morning. I've received a lot of mail regarding the site & will be replying to the bulk of it after the weekend.
everything is changing in internet land... Big up Tel everytime!

Huge respects Tel mate.
Its not easy keeping a site up and ticking over like that, so 5 years as the best by far is no-easy deal. Beleive me, there were times when I ran the forerunner to Y2K (Illegal Stations/Fused Pirates) that I was tempted to jack it in... Illegal Stations consumed my life for 5 years too - constant updates, infighting emails between rival stations with me in the middle, then came the DTI pressure!! Back then it wasn't as easy or cheap to get sites registered outside the UK!!! LOL.
So RIP Y2K... Gonna be missed!!!
