Does seem a bit weird but the story does hold some weight with the amount of stations being taken off this week.

Why they hide behind the old "emergency services" thing though is beyond me. Surely if the emergency services used the FM band we'd all be able to hear what was going on i.e. their transmissions would cut over ours??

The only thing i've ever had along these lines was back in the mid 90's when I used to get the Heathrow landing transmissions cutting in over 107.6 every so often.

I thought the emergency services would have switched over to digital radio by now. Any news on that?

Gotta love the line about being associated with drugs etc when the majors employ people like that Bacon bloke and play tunes by Oasis, Clapton, the list is endless really.

Well - YES - you can interfere with a transmission on FM.
But you really need to be right next to the mofo, with a very large one! LOL
Pretty unlikely, methinks?
******s.

Don't you just love 'media control'? Who needs Big Brother?
